I have a friend who is currently going through vet school, and we were discussing food at one point. He pretty much stopped the conversation with this statement &#039;well, they (hills) wrote our textbooks, and they&#039;re the only ones doing serious research in that area, so I&#039;ve no reason not to believe what they say&#039;.

The textbooks thing is a little creepy, but what I really didn&#039;t have a response for was the &#039;they&#039;re doing all the research&#039;. I guess I need to memorize some studies to cite if it comes up again. Really though, even if there is other research, if the students never hear about it, does it really exist?</description>
