		<description>Glad to see your educating the world about the cur personality! So many people underestimate the mental and physical stimulation these dogs need. Some are OK as jogging buddies, mine needed to hog hunt to stay sane, but all of them require a big commitment. Of course they&#039;ll pay you back with incredible loyalty and lots of entertainment. 

And these are actually not Black Mouth Curs. Usually included in the great cur family, the Lacy is a distinct breed. They are much smaller than BMCs, only 30-50 lbs, are less hound-ish in their build and come in blue, red and tri colors. Lacys are actually the only breed to have developed in Texas and are the Official State Dog.  But I know a lot of BMCs and their personalities are extremely similar.</description>
